112. John LEDFORD Jr was born about 1750. He died by a tree falling on the wagon in Apr 1802 in Cumberland Gap, Kentucky. John Ledford Jr was crushed to death when a beach tree fell on his wagon in the Cumberland Gap, Kentucky where he was sleeping with his wife, Elizabeth (also killed). It is said that he was buried there.


John LEDFORD Jr and Elizabeth were married about 1770 in North Carolina.

113. Elizabeth was born about 1752. She died by a tree falling on the wagon in Apr 1802 in Cumberland Gap, Kentucky. Elizabeth, along with John, was crushed to death when a beach tree fell on their wagon in the Cumberland Gap, Kentucky where they were sleeping.

Maiden name possibly Bryant.

Frederick Center LEDFORD was born in 1769/70.
Frederick stayed in North Carolina along with Thomas. Frederick lived next to his uncle Peter G. Ledford Sr.

ii.

Thomas LEDFORD was born about 1771.

iii.

Obediah LEDFORD was born about 1772 in Carraway Creek, Rowan County, North Carolina. He married Deborah Polly Lydia.

iv.

Elizabeth "Betty" LEDFORD was born about 1773 in Carraway Creek, Rowan County, North Carolina. She died in 1853 in Harlan, Kentucky. She married Henry Smith in 1792 in Camden, South Carolina.

Peter LEDFORD was born in 1786.

ix.

William Alexander LEDFORD was born on 2 May 1789 in Asheboro, Randolph County, North Carolina. He died on 24 Apr 1873 in Cranks County, Kentucky. He married Nancy Day. She died in 1848. He married Elizabeth Ann "Betsy" Farmer in 1808 in Harden County, Virginia, daughter of Stephen Farmer and Nancy Russell.
