456. James KIRKMAN²⁰⁸ was born about 1715. He signed a will on 25 Mar 1790 in Guilford County, North Carolina.³⁰⁴
James Kirkman 25 Mar 1790, son George - one cow & calf - in full part of his porshon; son William - twenty pounds, in full; son Elijah and son Elisha - negro boys Charles & Daniel; Gr son James Hendrick (son of Mary Hendricks) - 60 ac purchased of Wm Dick adj Wm Forbis, John Forbises Creek, negro girl Levah; sons Thomas Sherwood & Rodger - 400 ac tract whereon I live, and 100 ac. adjoining the same tract, purchased of Wm Dick; wife Mary - dwelling house, third part of cleared land, firewood, Exrs: wife Mary Kirkman, Hendnay Henricks, Robert Hanna, Wits: John Forbis, Daniel McMin, Catherine Ludenima.
He died before May 1791 in Pleasant Garden, Guilford County, North Carolina. He had his estate probated in May 1791 in Guilford County, North Carolina.³⁰⁴
Married a second time to Mary Sherwood; they had 3 children, Mary, Thomas Sherwood, and Roger.
